Colostrum, or bovine colostrum or young, is obtained from cow's milk. Colostrum is a substance secreted by mammary glands in the last period of pregnancy up to several dozen hours after delivery. These differences particularly relate to nutritional values ​​and immunoglobulins (also called antibodies).

The composition of colostrum changes with time over time. The amount of protein decreases in favor of sugars and lipids, which are energy material.

There is lactose (milk sugar) in colostrum, but its content is definitely lower than in later milk.
